Schwarzman Scholars was established to address the challenges of the present and future, drawing inspiration from the Rhodes Scholarship founded in 1902 to foster international cooperation and harmony. This program annually supports up to 200 Scholars from the U.S., China, and other countries for a master's degree in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing, renowned as a key hub for China's political, business, and technological advancements.

Selected Scholars will spend a year in Beijing engaging in academic studies, cultural experiences, and regional exploration to gain a deeper insight into China. Since its launch in 2015, Schwarzman Scholars has gained recognition as one of the world's most competitive graduate and fellowship programs.
