The University of Tokyo Special Scholarship for International Students in Japan
1 . Overview
This education was established in 2004. It aims at “ furnishing an exploration entitlement to high-achieving, postgraduate transnational scholars who are intimately- funded to help their academic hobbies at the University and at promoting a lesser acceptance of excellent scholars from overseas.”
Donors will admit a yearly exploration entitlement of yearning or yearning during the standard period of their program (up to one time for exploration scholars).
During 2016 an aggregate of 130 scholars entered exploration subventions.
During 2016 an aggregate of 50 scholars — 19 Master’s course scholars, 28 Doctor’s course scholars, 2 professional degree course scholars, and one exploration pupil were named as donors.
To date, there have been 571 donors since the education was established.

3 . Funded through donations to this education
○ FU DELIN Literacy
This education has been established through the kind services of Ms.FuDelin., a philanthropist, and a member of the Fu family that can trace their origins as far back as the Chinese Ming Dynasty. Ms. Fu herself has for a long time supported Chinese and Japanese scholars going to study abroad on her own, but on this occasion, she has kindly offered to give fiscal support for transnational scholars coming to enroll at a graduate academy of the University of Tokyo.
This education in principle follows “ The University of Tokyo Fellowship Perpetration Guidelines on Special Literacy for International Students,” but is primarily aimed at furnishing support to transnational scholars who hold Chinese citizenship.

○ Koga Shinsuke Scholarships
The devisee of this education, Shinsuke Koga, has been generally active encyclopedically in the fiscal world following his scale from the University of Tokyo. Having endured studying abroad himself at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he attained his Master of Business Administration, Mr. Koga wishes to give fiscal support to graduate scholars coming to the University of Tokyo from the United States and the United Kingdom by establishing the Koga Shinsuke Scholarships.
This education follows “ The University of Tokyo Fellowship Perpetration Guidelines on Special Literacy for International Students,” but is aimed at furnishing support to transnational scholars who hold American or British citizenship.

○ Nagashima Masanori Scholarships
Mr. Masanori Nagashima graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and the Graduate School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo and is now the Chairman of the Board of Directors of InformatixInc.
Mr. Nagashima has been a great supporter of the University of Tokyo Fellowship program and has freehandedly given donations to give fiscal support to transnational scholars wishing to enroll in a graduate academy at the University of Tokyo.
