Canada- CARICOM Chops Training for the Green Economy literacy Program

 

The Government of Canada blazoned the Canada- CARICOM Chops Training for the Green Economy( CCSTGE) Scholarships program in 2020. The program provides scholars from the Caribbean Community( CARICOM) member states with short-term exchange openings at intimately funded Canadian sodalities and institutes. The literacy support council- position scholars in programs or disciplines linked to the green frugality, or with rudiments related to sustainability, combating environmental declination, and/ or regenerative practices. This could include, but isn't limited to climate-smart husbandry, sustainable culinary practices, renewable energy, and sustainable structure ways, among others. 

 The Canada- CARICOM Chops Training for the Green Economy literacy is a Short-term Exchange Program under Global Affairs Canada’s International Literacy Program. 

 

 Eligibility 

 

 To be eligible, you must be 

 

 ✔ a citizen of a CARICOM member state 

 Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, or Trinidad and Tobago 

 ✔ a pupil enrolled full- time at apost-secondary institution( College or Institute) in an eligible country home 

 ✔ paying education freights to that institution at the time of operation and for the full duration of your exchange 

 scholars aren't eligible for this education if 

 

 you hold or have a pending operation for Canadian citizenship or endless occupancy 

 you are formerly sharing in a education program funded by the Government of Canada 

 you are formerly enrolled in a degree, parchment or instrument program at a Canadian postage-secondary institution 

 Canadianpost-secondary institutions interested in hosting scholars must 

 

 ✔ be a Designated Learning Institution( DLI) 

 ✔ have a valid pupil exchange agreement with the pupil’s home institution that waives education freights for education donors

 Eligible charges 

 named scholars may use education finances towards 

 

 ✔ visa or study/ work permit freights 

 ✔ airfare via the most direct and provident route 

 ✔ health insurance 

 ✔ living charges, similar to accommodation, serviceability, and food 

 ✔ ground transportation, including a public transportation pass 

 ✔ books and inventories needed for their study or exploration, banning computers and other outfit 

 Canadian institutions are eligible to admit 

 

 ✔$ 500 per education philanthropist to prop with executive costs once the pupil arrives in Canada 

 ✔ payment of fresh employer compliance freights paid to Immigration, Deportees and Citizenship Canada in some cases 

 How backing works 

 Canadian institutions will admit backing from Global Affairs Canada, through its legal name, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development( DFATD) in the form of anon-negotiable donation agreement. They will be responsible for furnishing the finances to successful scholars according to their internal processes. Should a pupil not take up the education, Canadian institutions must return all finances, including the executive figure, to DFATD.

 ✔ promote education to eligible mate institutions 

 ✔ explore pupil exchange agreements with eligible mate institutions 

Non-Canadian institutions interested in transferring scholars to Canada should 

 

 ✔ review eligibility conditions 

 ✔ explore pupil exchange agreements with Canadian institutions 

 ✔ promote this education to scholars 

 ✔ identify scholars who meet the eligibility and admission conditions for the Canadian mate institution 

 scholars interested in studying in Canada under this education should 

 

 ✔ review the eligibility conditions 

 ✔ ask your transnational office if your academy has an exchange agreement with a Canadian post-secondary institution 

 ✔ communicate with your transnational office to learn further about the operation process and any admission conditions for the Canadian institution

 Assign a program fellow to complete operations. 

 Login or produce an account on Momentum to apply for the education on behalf of scholars. 

 Once you have logged into your account, select Canada- CARICOM Chops Training for the Green Economy literacy Program in the “ For Non-Canadians” section and click on “ Apply Now ” 

 Enter data in the fields marked obligatory and follow instructions for each item.
