UN IMMERSION PROGRAMME

This spring and summer, UNITAR is pleased to deliver three 5- day field visits to Geneva. We'll offer actors the chance to completely immerse themselves into the host megacity of the main UN services and thereby gain first- hand experience of the United Nations.

UNITAR will host utmost of the conditioning in the headquarters of the UN at Geneva, the major Palais des Nations. They will correspond of a nuanced balance between the ensuing rudiments

UNITAR offers the Absorption Programmes to Geneva in Summer and Winter editions, in July – August 2022 and January – February 2023. It'll give an in- depth focus on career development in the United Nations as well as on leadership chops. Training shops on these motifs will give a considerable part of the exertion.

Actors also have the chance to conclude for an Immersion Programme decoration package. This includes the 4- weeks UN Young Leaders Online Training Programme as introductorye-Learning course. For decoration package actors, the accommodation in Geneva during the field visit is included in the figure. UNITAR will give 6 nights in a estimable hostel in close propinquity to the United Nations institutions( check- in Sunday ahead, check- out Saturday after).

Actors

The Immersion Programme is open to everyone with a deep interest in the United Nations. Actors can come from the public or private sector, NGOs, suppose tanks and academia. University scholars and actors from an entirely different background are inversely welcome to apply.

In order to insure the loftiest quality norms, a outside of 30 actors per field visit and 50 actors per online training programme will be allowed. places will be allocated on a first- come, first- served base. At the end of the programmes, actors will admit a UNITAR instrument of completion.

Enrollment

In light of the current COVID- 19 epidemic, UNITAR will assure the program will entirely conform with over- to- date health safety norms, including social distancing, hygiene measures, and contact tracing in case some actors aren't yet completely vaccinated. The programme’s docket may be subject to variations in line with the most recent developments in this regard.

In case that due to any COVID-19-related trip restrictions, actors registered for the field visit to Geneva are unfit to travel to Switzerland this spring/ summer, it's possible for them to attend the UN Young Leaders Online Training Programme free of charge. In addition, their niche for the field visit to Geneva will be automatically transferred to its coming editions in 2022 or 2023, with no fresh costs charged.
