6. Hatake Kakashi

We all know that Kakashi is the 6th hokage so it's very possible that if naruto dies, Kakashi will take over from him as the 6th hokage and not as the 8th hokage .

5. Kiba inuzuka 

A leaf jounin who always wanted to be the hokage . If Naruto actually dies , he may become the next Hokage 

4. Sakura

 She possesses the same strength and jutsu  of tsuande the 5th hokage and during the 4th great ninja war, hashirama stated that Sakura is more stronger than tsuande in terms of strength.

Also, being a member of team 7, in the absence of Naruto, she might wants to keep Naruto's dream alive hence , she might become the next hokage 

3. Nara shikamaru

Shikamaru wanted to become the hokage. His  intelligence is being appreciated by everyone , he may not be all powerful but in battle,  but he can change the situation to his favour. Being Naruto's personal assistant, he is likely to take over from Naruto if anything happens to him .

2. Uchiha sasuke 

Sasuke is a hokage material.  He once had the dream of becoming a hokage but Naruto beat him to it. Currently Sasuke is more than a hokage right now than Naruto why? He takes care of the village in the shadow while Naruto sits at office and do is formal work till the threat becomes worst. If anything myou happen Naruto , Sasuke might fully become the next hokage

He always had the dream of becoming the hokage since childhood. He took Naruto as his rival for that spot. He trained so hard to harness the skills and qualities of achieving his dream. If Naruto should die , konohamaru is very suitable to become the 8th hokage.
