Kochi University of Technology Special Scholarship Program (SSP) – Completely- funded, Japan

The Special Scholarship Program (SSP) was established in 2003 to support the development of advanced exploration at the university through the donation of largely able doctoral scholars. Through the 3- time class, Kochi University of Technology (KUT) provides comprehensive education in the multidisciplinary terrain. Every time, KUT enrolls roughly 15 named doctoral scholars to work in specific exploration systems. Each pupil pursues a doctoral course in English while at the same time aiding his/ her host professor in his/ her exploration systems and entering yearly payments in return for his/ her donation to the systems. This program is for those who have a strong intention to engage in his/ her exploration systems for the whole three times acquiring profound knowledge, skill, and capability to become a full-fledged experimenter and aspire to satisfy the degree conditions consequently.

 Number of scholars to be admitted No further than 3 SSP scholars can be enrolled coincidently for each design leader. See the SSP design list for details of which systems presently have places available for SSP scholars. 

 

 Program of study Doctoral program (3 times), Department of Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering 

 Degree to be admitted Croaker of Engineering or Doctor of Philosophy depending on the exploration field 

 

 Origin of SSP transnational scholars admitted 

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Latvia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, etc.

 Completion Conditions 


 3 times’ registration in a doctoral program at KUT 

 10 or further doctoral course credits earned 

 Successful completion of the doctoral discussion defense after entering a primary assessment further than once before the defense. 

Two or further papers in high-position peer-reviewed journals, published at least two months before completion of the program; this is the introductory demand for holding a discussion defense.

 Support Systems 


 English-specialized jotting and exploration jotting classes will be given to first and alternate-time doctoral scholars by a native English professor. 

 Japanese language class will be handed in for diurnal discussion and alphabet. 

 Teachers help new transnational scholars with academic and diurnal life matters. 

 Numerous types of Japanese artistic conditioning will be offered seasonally. 

 Transnational scholars can admit backing in chancing single accommodation. 

 Accommodation 

KUT International House in Kami lot and the Takasone Dormitory C are multi-cultural lodgments for KUT scholars. Transnational scholars can enjoy this living-literacy terrain to develop a better understanding of Japanese culture through diurnal life with Japanese scholars if there's a vacancy.
