Mobility Entitlement for Norwegian Language, Literature and Culture in Norway
Are you studying Norwegian language, literature, or culture in a Master's or Ph.D. position? If so you could be eligible for an entitlement.
The mobility entitlement is awarded to Master and Ph.D. scholars who have chosen the Norwegian language, Norwegian literature, or also Norwegian culture as content for their discussion. A prerequisite is that you're a pupil at a department for Nordic/ Scandinavian studies at an institution outside of Norway.
The entitlement must be used for fieldwork in connection with a Norwegian advanced institution of literacy and with a Norwegian instructor. Subventions are awarded for a minimum of one and outside of three months, and cover trips to/ from Norway, accommodation, and living charges in Norway for this period.

Operation deadline: March 25th, 2024
Before applying, you must communicate with an instructor at a Norwegian university or university council specializing in your field. This person will act as your administrator while you're in Norway. Ask your instructor at your original university for connections. You can also try to find an instructor via webpages of Norwegian Higher Education Institutions. They're listed then.
What does the entitlement cover?
The following costs can be covered by the entitlement.
Trip entitlement
NOK 2 000 for a trip from countries in Europe
NOK 3 000 for trip fromSt. Petersburg and Moscow in Russia
NOK 5,000 for trips from other metropolises in Russia, other Eurasia countries, and countries outside of Europe.
Entitlement for board and lodging
The entitlement follows the rates set by The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund for introductory support and is NOK 11,500 per month for the academic time 2024-2025.
The operation procedure
1. Download and read the Guidelines for the Mobility entitlement for Norwegian Language, Literature, and Culture.
2. Prepare a design description and communicate with an instructor and an institution of advanced literacy in Norway.
3. Fill out the online operation form in Espresso. The operation can be written in English or Norwegian.
4. Obligatory attachments
a recommendation letter from the home institution instructor a particular assignation letter from the Norwegian institution
5. Submit the operation before the periodic deadline of March 25th, 2024.
6. Your operation will be assessed by the Programme Committee for Norwegian Studies Abroad.
7. The aspirant will be informed about the outgrowth of their operation roughly in May.
Reporting
A report about the fieldwork must be submitted within one month after the fieldwork has ended. A report form will be available under “ My Tasks” in Espresso.
