Fukuoka City International Foundation International Student Literacy in Japan

Overview 

The following literacy are handed by companies, groups, and individualities, as well as the Rainbow International Student Fund, to support transnational scholars enrolled in universities in the Fukuoka metropolitan area. Literacy are intended to palliate fiscal burdens so that scholars may concentrate on their studies. 

 

 Types 

 

There are three types of literacy, “ Yokatopia Scholarship for International Students”, and “ Future Development Scholarship for International Students”, and “ Fukuoka City International Foundation Scholarship”. 

 

 okatopia Education for International Students 

 (includes work experience occasion) 

 

This education is for the transnational scholars who wish to work in Fukuoka. It comes with work experience occasion at a original company. 

 

Paycheck: yearning/ month 

Number of Donors: 6 scholars 

Duration: 1 time (may be extended depending on circumstances) 

 

 Eligibility  

Postgraduate scholars or undergraduate scholars in their alternate time or over, who are enrolled at a university in the Fukuoka Metropolitan Area and whose aggregate entered education quantum, including this education, doesn't exceed the quantum of the MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship.

 Reclamation Period 

 

 Listed from early April to early May ( anticipated)

Future Development Scholarship for International Students 

 

It's handed by businesses, associations and individualities, and allows the education providers to meet the scholars face to face.

 Eligibility 

Scholars who are enrolled at a university in Fukuoka Metropolitan Area and whose aggregate entered education quantum, including this education, doesn't exceed the quantum of the MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship etc .

 Characteristics of the education 

You can admit the education for 2 times if you're a graduate pupil （ Master ）, or 4 times if you're a undergraduate pupil 

You can learn and witness Japanese culture and customs, and commercial culture through the interview, gathering, and externship.

Number of Donors: About 10 scholars 

 

 Duration 

 

 In principle, minimal times needed for scale 

(4 times for undergraduate scholars *, 2 times for graduate scholars ( master)) 

 * 6 times for Medicine, dentistry, part of drugstore, and veterinary 

 Eligibility 

Those who enroll in the following universities 

Kyushu University, Fukuoka Women’s University, Kyushu Sangyo University, Seinan Gakuin University, Nakamura Gakuen University, Fukuoka University, Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University (Undergraduate scholars or graduate scholars).

Total quantum of the education doesn't exceed the quantum of the MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship 

 A person who holds at least N3 of JLPT or has an original position of N3 Japanese capability
