2024 Master’s Award at London School of Economics and Political Science, UK
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) offers Master's Awards (LMAs) as part of its funding options for students pursuing taught master's programs. The Graduate Support Scheme (GSS) is the main scheme available for these students, aiming to complement other sources of funding such as personal savings, loans, and external scholarships.
Due to the varying nature of these scholarships each year, a specific fund is allocated to provide LMAs for candidates who do not meet the criteria for other available scholarships. LMAs may be awarded to supplement existing scholarships when the funds are insufficient to cover the eligible candidate's financial gap.
Priority is given to applicants from low and middle-income countries, especially if loans are not an option or if these countries are underrepresented in other award programs at the School. The value of LMAs can range from £5,000 to a full award.
To be considered for LSE funding for programs commencing in September 2024, applicants must submit their program application, complete the Graduate Financial Support Application Form through the Graduate application tracker, and receive an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional).
To be eligible for any additional LSE Scholarships, please ensure that you fill out Section G: Personal Statement of the Graduate Financial Support Application Form. However, if you only want to be considered for the Graduate Support Scheme, there is no need to complete the personal statement.
Once you have received an offer, you can check the application tracker for the outcome of your Graduate Support Scheme application. If you are selected for any other LSE Scholarships or awards, you will be notified via email between May and July 2024.
