INTERNATIONAL MASTER ’S SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM IDEX IN FRANCE

 

Université Paris-Saclay aims to promote access for transnational scholars to its Master’s programmes, handed by its faculties, element- institutions and associated universities, and to make it easier for largely-good transnational scholars to join the University, especially for those wishing to develop an academic design through exploration up to the doctoral position. 


Literacy will be awarded for the 2022-2023 academic time. Established with the IDEX backing of the 3rd Programme Investissements d’Avenir, and grounded on academic achievements, these literacy are aimed at scholars admitted to a Master’s programme delivered by Université Paris-Saclay and handed by one of the following insitutions AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université d’Evry-Val-d’Essonne (UEVE), Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ). 

 

These literacy are awarded for 1 or 2 times to scholars enrolled in a Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay, depending on their admission position (M1 or M2), and subject to completion of the needed number of credits to go through to the ensuing time of study. 

 

 Operation timeline 

 

 – Deadline for operation in master to be named 7 May 2022 

 – Once named, deadline for damage education operation 14 May 2022 

. – Once named, deadline for damage both recommandations and ending of the call 18 May 2022 

. – Advertisement of results end of June 2022  

Pre-Selection Process 

 

Admission to a Master’s programme doesn't automatically entitle scholars to a education.

Scholars eligible for a Paris-Saclay University IDEX education will be named by the admission panel among those scholars admitted to a Paris-Saclay University Master’s programme. 

 

Only scholars who admit an dispatch from Paris-Saclay University inviting them to apply for a Paris-Saclay University IDEX education will be suitable to submit an operation. 

 

 No unasked operation will be accepted. 

 

 Operation Procedure 

 

 1) Named scholars will automatically be transferred a link by dispatch to an online operation form. 

 Upon damage of this dispatch, scholars wishing to apply will need to complete the online operation form and give ( obligatory) the names of two references who would be willing to submit a reference for the seeker ( director of studies, professor, externship fellow …). 

 

 2) Each of the two references named by the seeker will be transferred a link by dispatch to an online recommendation form. They will be asked to complete and submit the form previous to the closing day of the education call. 

 The seeker will automatically be informed when each reference has submitted the form. 

 

 3) The operation train for a education will be considered complete when both recommendation forms have been submitted by the two references. 

 Please note the seeker won't admit a communication attesting that the operation is complete. 

 It's over to the seeker to insure both references complete and submit the form by the deadline given in the assignation dispatch. 

 

Operations that are deficient or entered after the deadline will automatically be rejected.  

Eligibility criteria 


 Are eligible 

 – Scholars admitted to a Paris-Saclay University Master’s programme delivered by one of the following institutions AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ. Among these scholars, only those who answer one of the following criteria are eligible to apply 

. – Recently arrived transnational scholars, aged 30 and lower during the course of the selection time. 

 – Scholars of foreign nation living on the French soil for lower than a time, preliminarily or presently enrolled in a training course or externship that doesn't lead to instrument. 

 – Scholars of foreign nation living on the French soil for lower than a time, taking language classes ( type FFL). 

 – Scholars who have lived in France in the history, within the frame of a mobility programme during their studies (e.g. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees, exchange programme …) that didn't lead to instrument. 

 

 Are ineligible 

 – All scholars who have been or who are enrolled in a French advanced education institution during their studies, except transnational scholars enrolled in a French advanced education institution abroad. 

 – Scholars who have intruded their studies for further than 3 successive times. 

 – Scholars entering any other type of backing whose quantum exceeds 650€ per month. 

 

Together with UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) and backed by MEnS association ( Settlers dans l’Enseignement supérieur/ Settlers in Advanced Education), Paris-Saclay University is enforcing a perk system for exile scholars or scholars with attachment protection within the frame of the IDEX scale of literacy. 

 Still, please indicate it in your statement of purpose as soon as you submit your operation to the master’s degree, If you're concerned by this status. 

 

 Programmes/ Fields 

 

 – All academic fields are concerned. 

 – All Master’s programmes for which Université Paris-Saclay is accredited, except for vocational training. 

 

Selection of laureates, evaluation criteria 

Memorial admission to a Master’s programme doesn't automatically entitle scholars to a education. 

The selection of laureates falls within the compass of a jury made up of experts from the faculties, element- institutions and associated universities of Paris-Saclay University. 

 

 The evaluation criteria take in account the following 

 – Academic position, 

. – Particular design, 

. – Specifically, for scholars enrolled in an M2 programme written provocation to pursue a thesis in a Université Paris-Saclay laboratory.  

Quantum and payment of the education 

The quantum of the Université Paris-Saclay education is €7,000 per time. It's paid by Université Paris-Saclay for the duration of the academic time, and for a period of 10 successive months (September to June). 

 A outside of €5,600 for trip and visa charges can also be awarded depending on the seeker’s country of origin. 

 

Laureates will admit their education as well as trip charges only upon appearance in France and once they've enrolled in the programme to which they were admitted. 

 No advance payment can be made. 

Course Attendance and academic mobility  

 – Named scholars must follow the programme for which their education was awarded in one of the faculties, element- institutions and associated universities of Paris-Saclay University. 

 – The education can be suspended in case of repeated absence without due defense. 

 – The education will be suspended, without possibility for promptness, during the period of time the pupil attends courses in an institution outside Paris-Saclay University (in France or abroad). 

 – Payment of the education will be continued within the frame of mandatory mobility needed by some Paris-Saclay University programmes, or transnational university exchange programmes between Paris-Saclay University and its mates ( double degree with mandatory mobility, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees …). This mandatory mobility can not be carried out in the pupil’s country or institution of origin. 

 – Payment of the education will be suspended for any pupil mobility outside mandatory mobility. 

 – Placement times are authorized but not funded. 

 

 Externship 

 

 – Externships in exploration laboratories must be done in one of the Paris-Saclay University exploration laboratories. Outside this frame, the education will be suspended throughout the period of externship with no possibility for promptness. 

 – Externships in companies must be carried out in France. 

 – The education will be suspended if externship stipend exceed 700€/ month. 

 

 Results 

All aspirants to the education programme will be informed by dispatch of the jury’s decision. 

 

Upon entering the evidence dispatch, scholars will have 8 days to accept or refuse thescholarship.However, they will be supposed as having refused the education, If scholars fail to respond within this timeframe. 

 

Paris-Saclay University reserves the right to refuse or cancel the education awarded if the information handed by the seeker proves to be false.
